40’s U.S. MILITARY Vintage Tote Bag “No.51”
1944年製、アメリカ軍「1st TYPE」ダッフルバッグを解体・再構築した、PPFオリジナルの一点物トートバッグ。
80年以上の時を経た、実際に軍用として使われていたヴィンテージキャンバスを使用しています。
長い年月の中で刻まれた退色、ヤケ、擦れ、汚れ、そして生地の柔らかな風合い。新品の素材では決して生まれない、荒々しく奥行きのある表情をそのまま活かしました。
同じ年代の生地でも、使われた環境や時間によって表情は一つひとつ異なります。
このバッグに使われているキャンバスもまた、世界に一つだけの経年変化を刻んだ特別な素材です。
フロントには「No.51」のステンシルナンバー。ヴィンテージモーターサイクルやオールドレーサーのゼッケンから着想を得た、PPFオリジナルデザインです。
歴史を刻んだ軍用キャンバスに、レーシングナンバー。
無骨な素材と異なるカルチャーを掛け合わせることで、唯一無二の存在感に仕上げています。

• BODY：1944年製のU.S. Military Vintage Cotton Canvas。
バッグ内部には、1944年製造を示すステンシルが残っています。
• HANDLE：14mm Cotton Rope × Genuine Leather Cover。
使い込むほどにロープのアタリがレザーに刻まれ、持つ人の使い方とともに少しずつ表情が変化していきます。
• REINFORCEMENT：
経年で柔らかくなったキャンバスとロープには、内側から糊付け補強を施しています。
ヴィンテージならではの雰囲気を残しながら、日常使いに適した強度に仕上げています。
• BUTTON：
開口部には、1970年代のScovill社製ドットボタンを使用。
“DOT”ロゴが刻印された、当時米軍に納入されていた実物パーツです。

【40’s U.S. MILITARY Vintage Tote Bag “No.51”】
An original one-of-a-kind PPF tote bag, reconstructed from a 1944 U.S. Military “1st TYPE” duffle bag.
Made from genuine vintage military canvas that was actually used over 80 years ago.
Fading, sun bleaching, scuffs, stains, and the naturally softened texture of the canvas — all the marks left by decades of use are preserved.
These are details that cannot be recreated with new fabric. The rough, worn-in character of the original material is what gives this bag its unique presence.
Even canvas from the same era can develop completely different character depending on how and where it was used.
The canvas used for this bag carries its own unique history and patina, making it truly one of a kind.
The front features a bold “No.51” stencil number.
Inspired by the numbers found on vintage motorcycles and old-school racers, the design is an original PPF interpretation.
A racing number placed on historic military canvas.
The contrast between rugged military material and racing culture gives this bag its distinctive character.

• BODY: 1944 U.S. Military Vintage Cotton Canvas
Original stencil markings indicating the 1944 production year remain inside the bag.
• HANDLE: 14mm Cotton Rope × Genuine Leather Cover
As the bag is used, the rope will gradually leave its own marks on the leather cover, developing a unique patina over time.
• REINFORCEMENT:
The aged canvas and rope have been reinforced from the inside with adhesive to provide structure and durability while preserving the original vintage character.
• BUTTON:
A 1970s Scovill snap button is used at the opening.
Featuring the “DOT” logo, this is an original period component that was supplied to the U.S. Military.
