1944年製の希少なアメリカ軍 1st TYPE ダッフルバッグをベースに、PPFが新たなカタチへと仕立てたオリジナルのヴィンテージトートバッグ。
長い年月を経たキャンバスには、当時のステンシル、色褪せ、サビ跡、オイル汚れなど、ひとつひとつ異なる時間の跡が刻まれています。
それらを消すのではなく、あえてそのまま残す。
古いものが持つ表情を活かしながら、現代の日常で使えるバッグへと再構築しました。

同年代のヴィンテージダッフルバッグを組み合わせた、独特のツートンカラー。
異なる色味や経年変化が一つのバッグの中で重なり、現行品では決して出すことのできない、ヴィンテージならではの存在感を生み出しています。
さらにハンドルには、オリジナルの厚手レザーを2枚重ねで使用。
約5mmのしっかりとした厚みがあり、手にした瞬間に感じる重量感と無骨さも、このバッグの魅力です。
ステンシル、擦れ、サビ、黒いオイル汚れ、油汚れ、色褪せ。
一見すると傷や汚れに見えるものも、すべてこのバッグが歩んできた時間の一部。
ヴィンテージは、作れる。
ただ古いだけではなく、古い素材だからこそ生まれる表情を残し、新しい価値として仕立てる。

40’s U.S. Military Two-Tone Vintage Tote Bag
Made from a rare 1944 U.S. Military 1st TYPE duffle bag, this original PPF tote bag has been reconstructed from vintage materials and given a new life for everyday use.
The heavy canvas carries the marks of decades gone by — original military stencils, fading, rust marks, oil stains, and countless traces of wear.
Rather than erasing these imperfections, we chose to preserve them.
The character of the original vintage material remains at the heart of the design, while the bag has been rebuilt into a practical and distinctive tote for today.
40’s × 40’s
Two vintage duffle bags from the same era have been combined to create a distinctive two-tone appearance.
The differences in color, fading, and aging come together to create a look that simply cannot be reproduced with modern materials.
The handles are made from two layers of original heavy leather, with a substantial thickness of approximately 5mm.
Solid, rugged, and built to be felt in the hand, the leather handles add to the unmistakable character of the bag.
Stencils, abrasions, rust marks, dark oil stains, grease marks, and fading.
What may appear to be imperfections are all part of the history this material has carried over the years.
Vintage can be made.
Not simply by using something old, but by preserving the character of old materials and giving them a new purpose and value.
This is PPF’s approach to creating a truly one-of-a-kind vintage remake.

We consider these marks to be part of the character and history of the material, and incorporate them into the design rather than hiding them.
Because of this, every piece has its own unique condition and appearance.
No two pieces are exactly the same.
