PPF INTERMOUNTAIN 1997 TOTE BAG
年代不明のヴィンテージ・ダッフルバッグを解体し、トートバッグへリメイクしました。
本体の正確な製造年代は分かりません。
ハトメなどのディテールからも古い個体であることがうかがえますが、年代を特定できる刻印などは確認できません。
ただ、内側にはわずかに読み取れる
“Intermountain Tripping 1997”
の手書き文字が残されています。
1997年、山岳地帯への旅に使用されたものなのか。
あるいはIntermountainという場所や団体に関係するものなのか。
このバッグがどこから来て、誰が使い、どこへ向かったのか。
詳しいことは分かりません。
分からないからこそ、残された文字やディテールから、その背景を想像する楽しさがあります。
全体はGreenに染められており、染めによるムラもヴィンテージのアタリのように馴染んだ表情。
白いペンキを散らし、ナイロンテープとのコントラストを加えました。
ハンドルには90’s U.S. Militaryのデッドストック・ナイロンテープを使用。
大きめのサイズで収納力も十分。
日常の中で長く使っていただける、雰囲気のある一点物です。

PPF INTERMOUNTAIN 1997 TOTE BAG
A vintage duffle bag of unknown age was completely deconstructed and remade into a large tote bag.
The exact production year of the original bag is unknown.
Its details, including the metal grommets, suggest that it is an older piece, although no markings have been found to confirm its exact age.
Inside, a faint handwritten inscription remains:
“Intermountain Tripping 1997”
Perhaps it was used for a mountain trip in 1997.
Or perhaps it was connected to a place or organization called Intermountain.
Where this bag came from, who used it, and where it traveled —
much of its story remains unknown.
And that is exactly what makes vintage interesting.
The remaining words and details leave room to imagine the history behind the piece.
The entire bag was dyed Green, and the uneven dye has naturally settled into the fabric, creating a worn-in, vintage-like appearance.
White paint was scattered across the surface to complement the nylon tape and add another layer of character.
The handles are made from deadstock 90’s U.S. Military nylon tape.
A generously sized tote with plenty of room for everyday use.
A one-of-a-kind piece with character, history, and a story that remains partly unknown.
